Filmföreningen Flimmer
Filmföreningen Flimmer is a film association that provides a variety of films to the residents of Norrköping and the rest of Sweden. Flimmer has existed in its current form since 2001. In a city steeped in tradition and history, Flimmer has successfully established itself as a local supplier of quality films.
The main events Flimmer arranges are the Norrköping Film Festival Flimmer, an outdoor cinema and an outdoor cinema tour that takes the Flimmer brand around the entire country.
Flimmer creates dynamic venues where audience, filmmakers and films collide. We offer innovative and unexpected experiences from all over the world to film lovers of all ages. Our screenings are personal and professional events that affect viewers by moving them and challenging their minds.
The association has grown financially and in size since its birth. Increasing number of members and a rising turnover has given Flimmer the opportunity to give more to the public.
Norrköping Filmfestival Flimmer
The town of Norrköping has had a film festival since 1998. In 2001 Flimmer became solely responsible for the production of the film festival.
Flimmer Norrköping Filmfestival is one of Sweden’s bigger film festivals. Throughout the years major films and documentaries on narrow subjects have all had a place at the festival in Norrköping. For Flimmer width and diversity are of the utmost importance.
Outdoor Cinema
Since the early days of Flimmer the association has offered people in Norrköping outdoor cinema screenings under starry skies, free of charge. The outdoor cinema is Flimmer’s most visited event and a renowned and beloved summer happening. Each summer thousands of people enjoy the marvel that is cinema in the arms of nature.
Outdoor Cinema Tour
Since 2004 Flimmer has expanded the outdoor cinema concept to cover all of Sweden. Flimmer gives clients its know-how and technical competence to deliver movies outdoors during the summer. From the north of Sweden to the southern shores Swedes have been able to receive what people in Norrköping raved about for years.
